Chapter 5

The fort was surrounded by the French.
Heyward saw from a slope that Hawk-eye was a prisioner of the French.
Heyward was in love with Alice. Munro felt they couldn´t resist in the Fort longer without the help of General Webb.
The French army and its General Montcalm offered Munro help. Munro accepted and all the british people left the Fort.
However, while they were crossing the forest, the british people were attacked by the Hurons. The French army did nothing to stop it.
During the fight, Magua took girls (Cora and Alice) and ran away with them.

Chapter 4

General Munro

Nobody knew who had shot the Indian but quickly, the Hurons realised that Hawk-eye ,Chingachgook and Uncas were there. The Mohicans fought against  the Hurons who had Cora and the rest.
The Hurons died and Chingachgook tried to kill Magua but he ran away.
Now the Mohicans and the girls were safe. The Mohicans took the girls to a house in the forest to rest.
Next day, they all went to Fort William Henry. The General Munro (the girls´ father) recognised the girls. Cora and Alice went into Fort William Henry.

Chapter 3

Heyward, Gamut and the girls were hidden in the cave. However, the Hurons found them. They were taken us prisioners. Magua wanted to speak with one of the girls (the dark haired woman called Cora).
Magua asked her to marry him and be his wife. Cora refused the idea. Magua said that if she married him, the war would finish. Cora refused again.
Heyward fought against an Indian with a knife . There was a rifle shot and the Indian fell dead.

Chapter 2

The Indians (Hawk-eye, Uncas and Chingachgook) were the Mohicans and indian tribe.
They decided to help Cora, Alice, Gamut and Duncan  Heyward. They croseed the river towards a waterfall. Behind the waterfall, there was a cave where the Mohicans lived. They had dinner and slept there.
Next day, some Hurons (a dangerous tribe) wanted to kill them. The Mohicans fought and killed them. However, the Hurons had stolen the canoe of the Mohicans. Food and bullets were in the canoe so they couldn´t leave the cave.
Finally, the girls said that the Mohicans had to go to Fort William Henry to look for help. The girls stayed in the cave with Gamut waiting for help.
